2004 to present
- DLN (Defence Learning Network) Needs analysis of key
stakeholders of the DLN for both civilian and military training.
Recommendations on
how to incorporate KM initiatives such as communities of practice,
expertise locator systems and databases of lessons learned based on the
perspective that knowledge management complements e-learning by
bringing in informal learning approaches.
- CRTI (Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear Research and Technology Initiative), Department of National Defence.
Enhancement of
collaboration between first responders and the science and technology
research scientists. Analysis of Biology cluster to determine
effectiveness of
knowledge sharing. Observation of knowledge exchange amongst first
responders during a simulated nuclear terrorist attack ("dirty bomb")
at Chalk
River. Follow up exercise to be held at Suffield to simulate a dirty
bomb attack carried out in the subway system of a major Canadian city.
Development of a KM strategy and prioritization of KM initiatives.

Group. Report summarizing DREV KM initiatives and advanced KM

- DND, DG IM&KM Contributed to development of a KM blueprint. Emcee and facilitation for the DND KM Symposium
- Library of Parliament, Ottawa, Ontario Preliminary study on profiling researchers and librarians in order to facilitate a business
transformation process.
- Technology Watch and Transfer Network, Economic and Regional Development Council (Economic Development Council). KM subject matter expert
for the identification of potential priority KM areas and general approaches.
- Infoway/Inforoute Santé. Conducted KM due diligence and participated in a Project Fusion Workshop to identify KM obstacles and
enablers.
- Health Canada - Healthy Environments and Consumer Safety Branch (HECS). Preliminary KM strategy formulation using concept analysis.
